This is a raspberry-red grossular garnet from the Sierra de Cruces in Coahuila, Mexico. This production was one that I personally funded earlier in 2026, allowing us to access sections of the claim known for producing the deepest raspberry-red color and the highest percentage of complete, undamaged crystals.
While Sierra de Cruces garnets are certainly available on the market, specimens with this level of saturated color and complete crystal form are much less common unless you're sourcing directly from a full production, as we were able to do this year. The locality is well known for its distinctive raspberry-red grossular garnets, whose unusual coloration has even been the subject of mineralogical research.
Each specimen comes housed in a clear-bottom perky box with a frosted insert for a clean, professional presentation, and includes a printed locality label.
