Delete your Regemify account

You can delete your account from inside Regemify, or ask us to do it for you. This page explains both, and exactly what happens to your data.

Delete it yourself

  1. On the website, open the secure deletion form and sign in. In the Regemify app, open Settings, then Account & security, then choose Delete account.
  2. Ask Regemify to email a verification code to the address on your account, then enter that code in the form.
  3. Choose Delete account permanently to submit the request.

Regemify accepts your request immediately. If nothing is outstanding on your account, deletion usually finishes within a day or two. If a sale, payout, refund, or claim is still in progress, new buying and selling pauses while you keep access to Orders, and deletion finishes automatically once those responsibilities are resolved. A recent sale holds it longest, because the buyer's protection period and then the seller payout both have to complete, which usually takes about a week from delivery. We email you when it is complete.

Or ask us to do it

Email support@regemify.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We verify the request came from you before acting on it.

You can also ask us to delete specific data without closing your account, for example a phone number, an old photo, or a past conversation. Email the same address and tell us what you want removed; anything we must keep for legal or payment records, we say so in our Privacy Policy.

What happens to your data

  • Your profile is removed or de-identified: your username, bio, photo, and contact details stop being attached to you.
  • Listings for items you did not sell are archived, and their text and photos are removed. They no longer appear on the marketplace.
  • A listing with an order attached to it, including a sale later cancelled or refunded, is also removed from the marketplace, but its title, description, photos, and video are kept rather than erased. It is the record of a real transaction with a buyer, so it is not ours alone to erase. Nobody can browse to it. It stays in that buyer's own order history and in our transaction records, with your name and handle replaced by a deleted-account label.
  • We remove your likes, follows, saved items, and similar activity from the active service. Encrypted backups may retain copies for a limited time before they expire.
  • An order record keeps the delivery details of the transaction itself: the name, postal address, and email address given at checkout. Those are never shown on the marketplace, and they are retained rather than anonymized so a sale, refund, dispute, or tax record can be proved afterwards.
  • Records of completed orders, reviews you left, and messages you sent may remain, because the people you transacted with keep their side of those records.
  • Payment and payout records held with our payment processor (Stripe) are retained as required for legal, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes.
